OUR HISTORY
Parklands Veterinary Clinic started out as the “Animal Emergency Centre”
more than 30 years ago.
The idea of the founding veterinarians was to provide a continuous service to
clients and their pets when their regular vet was closed. Since then our name
changed to the “Animal Emergency Clinic” and then to our current name.
Parklands Clinic started out as a one room practice operated on a non-profit
basis; today we are able to boast an up to date facility with the latest state of
the art equipment, and clinical staff that is able to utilise these facilities to assist
in a prompt and decisive treatment of a traumatically ill patient. Our facility has
a separate Reception area, Consult room, Food Hall, Idexx supported in house
lab with advanced haematology equipment, a Prep area, the state of the art
theatre that can handle any form of trauma and regular surgical procedures, an
air conditioned hospital with recovery facilities, neonatal incubator, Isolation
facility, a separate x ray and Ultra sound room a board room for clinical discussion
and an up to date library. We are also equipped with a store room and Generator
facility should we suffer from power outages.
